Extra Income

I had my interview this week at a university in Nashville for a job as an adjunct professor with the mathematics department. I liked the math department chair. We discussed teaching philosophies and how statistics is different than most of the rest of math. She said that she's getting some pressure from the Business school to offer more Statistics courses. She also said that I might get some consulting work, especially from the Economics department, when they know I'm around. The money is good, better than I could get in DC as an adjunct. It sounds very promising. We'll have to see how it all works out.
